Helen majored in Russian and Sociology at Wake Forest University and graduated in 1997. When she was in college in the mid nineties, web design and development were in their infancy, so she didn’t realize that this is what she wanted to do for a career. Fortunately, she was able to have post-college job experiences at the YMCA of the USA, Lexington Medical Center, McEntire Produce, and The Blencowe Group that allowed her to tinker with building websites, designing graphics, and learning the ins and outs of online marketing. In 2002, she graduated from USC’s Moore School Business with an International MBA, which gave her rich experiences living, studying, and working internationally.
Since 2011 when she founded the company, Helen has grown HLJ Creative’s client base, the scope of services offered, and a network of web and marketing professionals. By developing strategic relationships with other web development companies as well as talented programmers, online marketers, and fellow designers, she has been able to grow the business while continuing to provide high-quality work.
