When it comes to creating a new identity package for your business, it’s important to take the time to make sure you develop a logo that will make the right impact. We help clients think through a multitude of factors related to how people will respond to what is designed. Taking into consideration colors, font styles, orientation, shape, and more, we ensure that your logo projects the appropriate image. We’ve created dozens of logos over the years, and below are the steps we follow when working on branding for a new project.
In this phase, we talk to the client to understand what style of logo needs to be, what colors and fonts are preferred, what symbols might work well, if a tagline or slogan is needed, who the competitors are, and other relevant details. The goal of this phase is to end up with several general ideas of what the logo could look like.
Depending on the specific arrangements we have agreed to, we develop one or more (sometimes many more) unique logo designs for the client to consider.
If we are creating several different concepts, we allow the client to select the concept her or she likes the most, and we can oftentimes combine features from one concept into another concept.
Based on the terms of each client’s contract, we provide a certain number of revisions to the concept chosen. We generally take the chosen concept and work to create stacked, horizontal, and reversed versions of the logo.
When the client approves the logo, we work to create a branding guide that includes all of the different approved logo versions as well as the official fonts and colors.
After the client has had time to “sit with” the logo and is 100% sure that it is final, we prepare all of the files that might be needed for the web or for print.
